A VR-system consists of hardware, software and application, which are adapted
to industrial business processes. In particular, the group's research is
focusing on visualization and collaboration systems, haptic interfaces,
human-computer interfaces (HCI) as well as on corresponding software.
The
developed systems are continuously tested in education and research, as well as
in a close collaboration with industry. Beside regular publications of the
achieved research results, the ICVR group is also responsible for the student
education in the field of virtual reality. The group offers a lecture over two
semesters (Virtual Reality I + II) as well as the corresponding exercises.
In
addition, the group hosts international conferences and workshops with the goal
to bring together reserachers, students and users and thus research and
industry.
